Andrea Natale was born in Avellino, Italy in 1960. He is the youngest of three children. His father was a general practitioner and his mother was a housewife. Natale‘s older sister is a doctor and his older brother is an engineer.

From 2005 through 2008, he has been a member of the Annual Meeting Program Committee and since 2011 a Trustee in the HRS Board.
