Early life and Education  

Daniel was born in Aberdeen in Washington. His father Donald Orrin Danielson was a lumberjack and his mother Darlene Jean Danielson was a therapist. He was the only child of his parents. At a young age, he had to witness the divorce of his parents. 

He studied at the Aberdeen High School of Washington. In his student life, Daniel was a quality athlete. He used to play in the American football team. Gradually a passion for wrestling was growing. As a consequence, he decided to become a professional wrestler. 

Professional Life 

He started wrestling in 1999 signing a contract on the independent circuit. At the beginning of his career, Danielson attended different training for wrestling for developing his skills. Soon he got assigned to Memphis Championship Wrestling. He got trained by Willian Regal who was a competitor at the World Wrestling Federation. Later Daniel gave him the credit for the development of his career.   

In 2020 he got associated with WWF for a contract of 18 months. Meanwhile, he got an identity as American Dragon which later favored him for the upcoming contracts. After the expiry of this contract began to work for the New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He became successful in both the single and tag team in the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship in 2004. 

Though he didn’t sign any further contracts, he performed in two matches in WWF after it became WWE. On the other hand, he donned a red, white, and blue mask reminiscent of a dragon for his identity as the American Dragon. 

After joining Ring of Honor (ROH) he was acknowledged as a Founding Father of the company. He had gained immense popularity after joining the company and his wrestling career was thrilling. Subsequently, he won the inauguration Survival Tournament of the company.  

In the year 2006, he had to undergo surgery because of an injury in his shoulder. He was in constant rest for 15 months after the surgery. Being fully recovered he again came to perform on the side of ROH. 

Because of his expiration of the contract with ROH, he signed a short-term contract with German wrestling promotion Westside Extreme Wrestling (wXw) and within a few days, he won the wXw World Heavyweight Championship. He signed another contract with WWE in 2009. Then he began training with Florida Championship under the supervision of WWE. 

This time he gave his best effort but his luck didn’t favor him. He participated in several matches but couldn’t come up with his expected result. As a result of his low performance, the company was completed to end the contract with him. 

In 2010 Daniel returned to the independent circuit where he started his wrestling career. This time he got tremendous success in many matches; however, he was also trashed by the opponents in some of the wrestling events. In early October he defeated Shelton Benjamin in his last fight on the independent circuit. 

In the same year surprising his fans, Daniel again returned to WWE and debuted as the seventh member of the Team WWE for the seven-on-seven elimination tag team match. In December he became the United States Champion at WWE Tribute to the troops. This was one of the glorious parts of his life. 

Gradually he performed in NXT, Night of Champions, WrestleMania XXX, Intercontinental Championship, TLC, and many more. Due to medical reasons, Bryan declared his retirement from his Wrestling Career in 2016. However, he told that he would wrestle again. Fulfilling his words Bryan again returned to the ring in 2018. Since then he is again showing his dynamic performance on the wrestling stage.
