Early life and Education
Son of Sadelle and Sidney Siegel, David Alan Siegel birth on May 3, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Sein’s father worked in the food industry as a grocery store owner and grocer. In 1945, Sid Siegel and his family moved to Miami.

David A. Siegel founded CFI, a real estate development company, in his family garage in 1970, when he was just 22 years old. After that, Westgate Vacation Villas, a 16-unit resort, was opened in 1996. In 1996, Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa opened. After a year, the Westgate Towers were built.
Siegel opened the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in 1999, Westgate Flamingo Bay in 2001, Westgate Blue Tree Resort, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, and Westgate River Ranch in 2002 Westgate Palace & Historic Williamsburg in 2003.
