Early life and Education
Shawn Michaels was born to a decent family in Chandler, Arizona, United States. He liked to be called Swan from his childhood. His father Richard Hickenbottom was military personnel. His family had to move to different places because of his father’s posting.
Shawn desired to be a professional wrestler when he was only 12. From the age of 6, he started playing football and he gained fame as an outstanding linebacker at his high school. Later he became the captain of the football team. He completed his school education at Randolph High School and then got admission to Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

At the beginning of his career, he took training from Mexican Professional wrestler Jose Lothario and adopted the ring name, “Shawn Michaels”. In 1994 after completing his training Shawn debuted against Art Crews in National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Though he lost the match, his performance impressed the audience.
In the following year, he debuted for World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW). Here his performance was praiseworthy.
