Born on August 4, 1933, in Boston, Massachusetts, the United States, Sheldon Gary Adelson is a successful businessman. Originally from England, his mother, Sarah (née Tonkin), had a knitting store in the United States. As a cab driver, his father, Arthur, supported him.
